There is a riding centre in the village with golf and gliding only a short distance away. Cambridge is an hour away, and the pretty town of Bury St. Edmunds twenty five minutes away. Our nearest railway station is at Stowmarket. Directions from Hitcham village (B1115) : Turn down the minor road beside the White Horse public house. After 100 yds. or so, another, (even smaller), lane branches off on the left hand side. Turn left, and head up Balls Hill. The driveway to Box Tree Farm is found on your left hand side after approximately ½ a mile. Directions from Lavenham (A1141) : Take the A1141 Bury Road heading out of Lavenham. Turn right just before the old railway bridge at the bottom of the hill, (signposted to Preston & Brettenham), and keep on this road for approximately 2 miles Turn right into the village of Preston St. Mary, and pass completely through the village. Carry on, until a small green triangle with a post box is encountered. Turn left here, and continue on this lane, (over the little bridge, and around the "z" bend), and through the tiny village of Kettlebaston. After passing through another "z" bend (in a small copse) the drive to Box Tree Farm will be found after approximately ½ a mile on the right hand side.
